Hi,

I just did my first ping with Pinoat.com. Not sure if I did it right. I didn't have to get an account which I thought was going to happen. My question is did I do it right?

It asked for the name of the blog. Do I use the blog title or the blog article title?

I clicked the ping button and it said it had submitted my blog to the directories. Is that all there is to it?

I also used the html site tool. It showed me that I have about 25% content and 75% html. How in the world do I get that ratio to change?

Geno,

You did it right.  You don't need an account unless you're setting it up as an automatic submission.  If you're set up with automatic submission  .... they'll automatically submit whatever page / site you have open in your browser when you click on the "ping" link (saved in your favorites for easy access).  You can do it either way.

You should use the name of your blog .... ping the main blog page ... and also your blog feed url.  Usually that's what they ask for hand submits .... title, website, and feed url.

On your html/content ratio .... write more content and use html less.  Meaning more words and less links and images in your articles etc.  Also always use text links and NOT typed out urls.  Such as Best MLM Resources is better than http://Best-MLM-Resources.blogspot.com .

For tags .... Pingoat doesn't use tags.  It'll spider via the key words already on your site and in your article title and content.

For Tagging I suggest using http://Onlywire.com.  It takes a little time to set up at 1st .... but then is automatic after that.

Post an article to your blog .... then ping it with Pingoat .... then tag it with Onlywire ..... then submit it to Digg (http://digg.com) ..... then submit it to http://ezinearticles.com

Doing all of this for every blog post will get you higher search engine listings, back links, higher website page rank, and a ton of traffic if you're consistent with it.

The above is EXACTLY what I do.  My blogs average 500+ visitors a day .... on a slow day.

God Bless,

Michael

Yep...iPings.com is a pretty good service...fast and has a nice colection of directories they submit to.  I just started using them while Pingoat has been down.  No complaints ... so far.

God Bless,
Michael

I've used ping services off and on over the years.....but one thing I've found is that if you use Blogger, Google seems to give preferential treatment to blogs hosted on that service.

Many many times, I've posted something to [url=http://libertyleagueintl.blogspot.com[/url] and found the new post already in the Google search results within an hour.
