I recently ran across a free social bookmarking tool called Socializer which will simplify "Tagging" of your blog posts. Using this tool will automatically submit your blog post to multiple social bookmark sites simultaneously. Once more it's FREE and REALLY easy to implement.
If you use Blogger like I do.....simply go to this explanation by Evan Spiegel and follow his directions. It's easy and took me 2 minutes to set-up both of my blogs.

Note: as discussed throughout the Blog Marketing Discussion Board here....you should BOTH Ping (using Pingoat or Ping-o-Matic) AND Tag to get more traffic to your blog. Socializer makes the tagging part as automatic as Pingoat and Ping-o-Matic make pinging automatic. Using both will save you time and effort.

Hi Michael,
Thanks a bunch. I've been wondering for the past few weeks
is social bookmarking somthing we can ride on ? Because I have
got a friend who just focused solely on this topic and then he
managed to get a really good alexa ranking in just a few short
months.
Could I conclude that this could be done via using blackhat techniques
or that there is certainly a way to study and specialise in getting
certain traffics from specialised topics such as social bookmarking.
I'm actually pretty much in my confusion state right now about how
to grow traffic and taking the next move in my business.

Stick to whitehat Vern.
Simply "tag" your blog posts every time you post a new one....just like you ping.
Also "tag" any articles you have .... use the directory url for each article you've submitted and for each directory you've submitted to.
You can also "tag" your primary webiste too....but only do this once and make sure you "tag" to a compatible social directory.

OK thanks Michael.
However, I'm just curious and a little puzzled on how we can
use te socializer for tagging. In evan's post there are so many
codes to use.
Which one works best ? and the image icons I believe doesn't
reflect the true link for the pictures.
However, will replacing <$BlogItemControl$> means that I'm
replacing this "useless" text with something workable or I'm
changing my templates functionality ?

| Onlywire.com and Digg are 2 ways I quickly social bookmark my articles. My traffic goes up everytim I post in my blog, ping my post and use these 2 sources for social networking.

If you want to bookmark your blogs to multiple sites at once then check out Onlywire.com
This is a handy free tool. I have bookmarked post and they have shown up in Google fairly quickly.

Take a look at one of my blogs here:

Notice at the end of each article post to my blog is a "Social Bookmark This" text link.
If you follow the directions from Evan Spiegel.... and edit in the code he provides where "<$BlogItemControl$>" is in your blog template...your all set and your blog article posts will have the same "Social Bookmark This" text link at their end.
You then click on this text link (or your visitors can too) and "tag" that article post to any of the social bookmark resources (e.g. Digg, de.lirio.us, etc) that you wish.
Faster, easier.
There's also a "Bookmark This" button in the menu left side.
Either will do a lot for you.

I social bookmark all my posts and i use a free program called http://www.posttoaster.com/ , it's easy to use and allows you to use upto 50 different social boomarking sites including digg,stumple upon and sphinn.

| I really like to use SocialMaker.com. If you wanted you can post to over 200 different bookmarketing sites and the thing that I like most about this is that it does it in a way that it is still manual so the SE's like this.

I have found a much easier way to do this.
Go to this website: http://www.addthis.com/
Login to get your free account and button.
Follow the simple instructions and it will add a social book mark button to your website for you.
You can also choose to add an RSS Feed button as well.

Hello everyone,
I've always considered social bookmarking tools as grayhat, although I did use OnlyWire for a while.
Personally, I've found digg and reddit to be great sources for fetching traffic to my business blog.
