Hello Everyone:
I'm noticing that every time I make a new post on my Wordpress Blog, I receive literally dozens of spam comments (all selling either viagra, some other drug or casino stuff ...cool if I were middle aged, limp and on my way to Vegas....)
I assume these comments are placed automatically by some software (as there are so many of them so quickly). Of course I delete them immediately.....
Anybody know WHY or HOW my blog was tagged in this way? Is there a way to keep this from happening?

Kevin, is this your own Wordpress blog? That is, have you installed it yourself, or is it one of the free blogs with Wordpress.com?
If you've installed the blog yourself, download and activate the plug in "wp-spamfree" right away. That will stop all the spam.
There are automatic programs doing all that, and the plug in will stop it.
Also, if you are using Wordpress.com have you added your API key for Akismet – Akismet (Automattic Kismet) comes bundled with every copy of WordPress, and all you need to do to use it is sign up for an API key with WordPress.com.
