People in a network marketing business usually lose enthusiasm building their business because they either:

(1) Run out of leads


(2) Run out of money while trying to generate more leads.

A common problem with struggling marketers is paying for leads that are not responsive to the offer the marketer is promoting. Frustrated, the marketer gives up.

So, how do you generate responsive leads without going broke? Why, you get them to pay you of course. This is called a funded proposal system. In other words you get PAID to generate leads regardless if they join your network marketing company or not. It’s very simple.

What network marketers want is more leads, and more cash. A funded proposal system teaches network marketing prospects how to generate more leads and more cash - exactly what all network marketers want to learn all about.

People who use a funded proposal system are able to build a relationship with other network marketers - people already SOLD on the idea of network marketing and looking for a leader to follow.

Effective funded proposals position the marketer as a leader who provides solutions to a problem, in front of people who already have a need, a desire, and are actively looking for a solution to their problem. This targets a generic network marketing crowd.

This is a business about marketing pursued by people who have never marketed anything before. They need help by someone that knows what they are doing and will hold them by the hand to show them how it is done. The alternative would be for the networker to learn by trail and error, a very costly and frustrating course to take. With this in mind, a highly effective funded proposal would do well to attract network marketers if it teaches how to market products and generate leads.

Someone who has invested the time, money and effort to learn how to generate quality targeted leads has information that is of great value to someone just starting out in MLM and needs new leads to grow their business. Leads cost money unless the method used to generate leads also generates money. This is where the FUNDED part of a funded proposal comes in.

Your funded proposal needs to have three parts.

(1) A low-cost high volume retail product for under $50 that pays for your advertising and generates a constant source of MLM leads for you.

(2) A medium to high cost backend product that pays your bills and makes you money.

(3) A network marketing opportunity that creates long term, exponential, residual income and grows your downline organization.

You see, the average person can not afford to pay for the costs of marketing their business while they learn to build it, eventually spending themselves out of business with advertising costs before their business has a chance to grow into a profit. A funded proposal generates the needed cash flow to keep the expenses of advertising going until the business pays for itself.

Most people just advertise their network marketing business or website and hope someone joins, while a true leader solves peoples problems. People will always pay for solutions and convenience. So a good funded proposal makes network marketers lives easier or offers a solution to their most pressing challenges.

If they are willing to invest in your program (even if they do not join your network marketing company ), the system pays you a commission based on the sale. So not only are you getting great targeted leads of people interested in what you have to offer but, you get a generous income as well.

In response to your question if funded proposals really work...

Simply put...Yes they do.

They work and all you need to do is provide the advertising. That's the one thing that funded proposals, like all offers, need.

I'm using someone else's funded proposal in a box called Magnetic Sponsoring by Michael Dillard because it's really well put together and explains how to do it right. This way I can concentrate on advertising. 

Now keep this in mind though... if you tried signing up for a funded proposal before, did you advertise it? If so, how?

In placing ads it is very important to put your ads in highly targeted places so the right people see it. People interested in generating leads for their business and MLM or network marketers. Or whatever your business is about, you have to target your advertising to that group. Give them something that they want and need.

Once you get the word out, don't quit after one ad. Continue advertising and tracking the results so you know which ads are getting results and which ads are not.

Now Magnetic Sponsoring is not the first funded proposal that I've tried, and I have a large list of targeted leads already that I have built over the years, But when I started Magnetic Sponsoring I saw results in 10 days. However, if you have a budget to advertise to begin with and you place the ads in targeted spots, you could see results in 1 day!

You may think that paying for advertising defeats the purpose of generating targeted free leads, but you cannot start something without some kind of action.

Think of it like a garden hose. There is a source of water and you want it to flow to you. First you have to locate the source, then you have to hook up the hose and then you must turn it on FIRST, before the water flows to where you want it to go.

So when we pay for advertising, we are hooking up and turning on the hose that starts a flood of quality targeted leads flowing our way. (Now trust me on this, it sure makes life easier when they come to you.) Once those leads buy some of the products in your funded proposal and you get paid, then you re-direct the money into your advertising so you are no longer paying for ads. In fact, I'm making about $200 a week all of it going right back into advertising...and, the leads are calling me!

So, which one did you try?

I have been doing the training in "pay it forward 4 profits" and in "Spider web marketing system". I just signed up for both of those last week. I finally got my adsense account approved and went through the training video for setting up ads that way, but then I got to where it said you had to pay a deposit of 5.00 and then found out my bank account is negative. So now I have to wait until I get that taken care of before I can bring those ads online. Do you know of any free to post sites where I can put my ads?

 There's countless free advertising sites online but I don't use them because I have never got any amazing results from them. I guess you get what you pay for. Paul Birdsall is a leader with his PayItForward4Profits for sure, but there are much more simple funded proposal programs available that pay NOW! I like that part.

Once leads start to pour in, you can gradually introduce people to your primary business. In fact, some will ask you to send them your link and when that happens, the chance of them staying the course in your business is much more likely.

I'll find some free advertising websites for you if you want. http://www.craigslist.com is one I can think of right off the top of my head. Just remember, Network Marketing is about marketing, so eventually we have to learn how to truly market to be successful.

I have used both magnetic sponsoring and the renegade network marketer. I much prefer magnetic sponosoring. For me personally, they have given me more an extra source of income and great training rather than new team members.

I would say that funded proposals do work.  However, they can't be set on auto pilot.  You can promote them, but the key is HUMAN interaction.  What do you do with your leads when you get them? 

Calling people can have a huge impact on your funded proposal.  It will greatly increase our conversion on them.

I am currently using a funded proposal system and they work great, but like I just put on my last post, this is a numbers game, you still have to get people to see you, but it is not hard, it is just being consistant.

A lot of people find funded proposal systems and think "this is it" I am going to make money on the front end and the back end, just to realize they have to still work just as hard.

I love network marketing, direct sales, internet marketing, because it is so easy, but I think a lot of people make it harder then it really is, it is just doing a few easy steps everyday, and not giving up.

Yes funded proposals actually work and more importantly they create a very responsive lead.

I have tried buying leads in the past and worked the phone cold-calling them and even though people joined my business it was not duplicatable. I am in sales professionaly and still had a very low conversion rate.

Funded proposals on the other hand has created a very targeted and responsive lead that actually calls me with questions about my business. What a welcome change! The other benefit is it pays for your advertising costs if done correctly and that means it is self-sustaining.

Yes, (as I am sure everone else has posted) The Funded Proposal programs Make So Much Sense!  If you take a few minutes, sit down and think about how you would like to be presented with information about the steps needed to do something (anything!) you will find that those steps are exactly what any properly designed Funded Proposal is (& does).

There are a number of good ones out there, there are some "me-toos" and there are some that are NOT really what they advertize..

Be cautious and look at everything first!

I have seen that some of these companies that offer the "funded proposals" only do so to in order for you to promote their company name and not yourself. There is a big difference. One is that if you are promoting that company name or the person affiliated with the program...Who do you think will reap the the benefits of your advertising or promoting? That's right, Them!  You want to be seen as the expert! So, if the company goes belly up or you decide that you no longer want to continue with the program...What happens to the list that you worked so hard for?

In my opinion, which is just that...You want to own that list so you may establish a relationship with them and help them whether or not they join your opportunity or not. They will see your value to them and be more open to the opportunities that you offer. You do no selling or calling. They will call you! And they make the choice of joining You. Can't be any easier than that, can it?

I personally prefer using the renegade.. But in all goodness, it depends the person dealing with this prospect. Especially if you have been using the old system of hype and pressure..

It took me along time to be able to use the consultative approach. Once your focus is on truly helping people, you wont go wrong. And even if you dont sponsor them in your primary opportunity, you will direct them to other wonderful resources..win win for everybody.

To me it works very well. Some poeple who buy the renegade are looking for an opportunity, others are looking for ways to improve their business, others are looking for a strong team...

Personally what I do, I send a card to thank them for buying the book. I let them know that I am available if they need my help. You can as well call them or send an e-mail. Your agenda should not be to recruit them in your primary.. It should be to find their need and see if they need to join your opportunity or if they should just use any of the backend tools... Win Win for everybody.
