I like and use http://www.citymax.com for my main website. They have a built in newsletter and allow you to create site on the fly.  You don't have to know anything about html.  It's a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) interface.  For capture pages I recommend MMG

I hope that helps,

Dustin Callahan

When it comes to this its a tricky question.

Places like hostgator, host4profits, and a few others have a great residual pay plan thats why so many people promote thoughs companies.

Personally reliabilty, ease of use, affodability, and great customer service is what I like.

I would stay away from any company that doesn't provide a 24hour telephone number. Also call the number first to make sure you actually get a response.

I use 1 and 1 hosting as my service provider. I am not linking them you can do a search on google and find them. If you want to learn more.

(I am not linking to them , they do have a affiliate program I am just given some friendly advice I am not trying to make a buck.

I used 7 hosting companies before I found one I liked that can become a pain in the butt if you have domain names and websites. Pick wisely

I have to agree with Michael and Viola.  I use Sitesell's SiteBuildIt (SBI), too.  It may not be the cheapest service, but I'm convinced it is the best value.

I've used them for three sites so far and I had no previous experience.  They are superb for newbies, but also advanced enough for the 'techies' that want to do their own thing.

I doubt I'll ever use anything else.

I am getting ready to attempt a website, I know nothing when it comes to this.  I see two here and two that others have recommended the most often - SBI (I also joined as a Renegade Marketer under Michael, so I am aware they have a good affiliate program) and CityMaker.com

Is one any easier than the other?  Does one do that much more than the other?

Price wise they are very similar.  SBI may be about $60 more a year.

My concern is lack of time and lack of computer know how, so wan this to be as painless as possible.

Thanks for any input.

Hi Anna Denise (adw),
I'm not familiar with citymaker, so I just had a look at what they are offering.  Keep in mind I didn't go beyond the home page, but I read enough of that to be able to give you a little word of warning.  :)

Sure, you may be able to build a nice looking website with them without too much trouble, but the simple fact that they are promoiting it as getting your site up in a matter of minutes, etc.  tells me that they are really only focusing on the cosmetics.

Unless you don't need to worry about getting actual free traffic from the search engines, this mindset is going to really create a problem for you.

To me, the main difference with SBI is that they provide you with the tools and training to research your site topic and build the site in such a way that the search engines will send you traffic as a result of your keyword focused content pages.  Unless you do that (or constantly pay for advertising) you may as well build the most gorgeous business (site) in the world in the middle of the desert.

SBI does provide very easy to use tools with video tutorials so that you won't have any trouble doing the actual building.  For that extra $60 you will be getting $1000's more in value back.

That's just my humble opinion.  :)
All the best!

Hi,

I'd suggested http://www.startlogic.ca. I've used them for over 2 years & hosted multiple websites with them. They are cheap and have toll free support. So this i thank this one is best.

Good luck!

Hi there,

All of the suggestions are really good for website building, however, if you are looking for a complete turnkey solution for your business (i.e. websites, contact management, blog management, auto-responders, etc.) I would suggest Marketing burst. You can check it out at http://tinyurl.com/marketingburst

I currently have dozens of website, capture pages and blogs for several businesses hosted with them and they all integrate seamlessly with the administrative components needed to run my businesses successfully.

Good luck, be well and prosper!
