I find the same

I recently invested in the cl auto poster from you know who in the vain attempt that it might help me earn money from home How wrong was I after spending the 2 hours trying to figure all the ad rotation out etc I finally got to grips with it and posted some ads. Guess what they didnt show!.

Why what the software doesnt tell is it's your URL that can get stopped not just your ad text. I can post manually though. What's the point in the software if it hides all the ad text but wont do anything for the URL.

I know CL works though cos I have used it successfully in the past. I just need to put up some dummy sites with script in for different URL's to redirect to my home page. What a ballache. MY FAULT though

Thanks Freedom Fire

I've just tried usnetads and it really is easy.

Your ad is displayed instantly and you can modify it whenever you like.
You can even update the created date to move it back up to the top of the list with a single mouse click.
It looks like your ad would remain on the front page of a section for about two hours judging by the times of the posts - it moves down the page as new ads are added.
Depending on results it might be worth returning to the site every few hours to bump your ad back to the top again.

The Business Opportunity section looks pretty good for readers of this forum.

I assume they make their money from the surrounding Google ads, because they don't seem to be charging for anything.

Hello,

Does anyone on here have experience in automatic Craigs List advertising? This is a new and very exciting method many network marketers and product sales people are using to get free leads for their businesses. Our marketing department is going to start using it for MLM The Game, but thought maybe some of you had experience in this. Here is one of many options we are considering. Please share if you have any tips or suggestions on other programs available.

Be well,

Most of the Internet marketers that I know try to take advantage of Craigslist by cheating.  The truth is, you don't have to if you have a basic knowledge of how Craigslist really works.

Now it's no secret that Craigslist listings show up on Google, but most people don't understand how to make that happen, and keep their listings on the front pages of Google under targeted key phrases.

The one thing that people need to understand about Craigslist is that it's an open directory.  Even though the users have a "back office" of sorts, the content of Craigslist can be accessed from the outside without having to log in.

Due to the fact that it gets so much traffic, it carries a high search engine ranking.  Last I checked, it was in the top 45 most visited sites online.

Because it gets so much traffic, and because Google loves good content, it makes it a great place for people to write and post articles, blogs, sales letters, etc.

Using basic keyword research, you can formulate your postings in such a way that Google will eat them up.

The combination of Google and Craigslist, when used correctly is lethal.

Craigslist does not want to be seen as another free classified site.  If you read the fine print, you will notice that Craigslist considers themselves a community.  By staying within the reigns of Web 2.0, and the Craigslist TOS, any user, with the right knowledge, can reap the rewards of Craigslist!

Can you refer me to what a basic keyword search is?  Is there a guide that you know of that can teach me how to do this?

I am getting ready to try Craig's list.  I have heard a lot of good things.  I have a freind who gives something free (an ebook) away and is then able to get the follow up information.  They then are able to follow up with what they are interested in having people look at.

Best of luck :)

I haven't used Craigslist, but I have used some other free ad sites and they do work.

My advice would be to do some searches for different things that people might sell through free classifieds and see which classifieds sites keep appearing in the first few pages of results.  These are the ones getting indexed the most thoroughly.

Then post to these.  Hopefully, you'll get a better response directly from them than if you had just posted randomly.  But even if you don't the chances are that these ads will help your search engine rankings.  This is because you've already established that those sites are seo friendly.  Also, classifieds sites have specific categories which effectively tell the search engines what your site is about.

Limuman,

As I stated ".....Although I'd suggest focusing your advertising on product vice business opportunity.  More likely to get a higher response.  Plus loyal customers are easier to convert to loyal business builders.  They already believe in the product/service."

You're right Craigs doesn't allow MLM/biz op ads or affiliate ads.  They can tell by any website url you put in your ad.  If there's a "?" or "numbers" .... it's probably MLM or affiliate related.

God Bless,
Michael

Craigslist was awesome back in the day but now its saturated with spam and they do a great job of knocking off a lot of it. Once your blackballed your pretty much done.  You can still pull sales off of it but it takes work. Free advertising is usually you get what you pay for. I do very very well with banner advertising on medium alexa ranked sites and marketing in niche ezines etc.  And with the value of the US Dollar so low marketing overseas and playing that angle has also netted me like $15k in profit. All the best!

Hi,

It's called "Craigs Masters"......they have been promoting their own Advertsing on Craigslist for under 100.00.  They Gaureentee you will get seen and will be able to post and they will show you how!!  I went on there and was told not to Advertise "Business opportunities", or they will be deleted.  they want Horly Paid, Legitamate jobs.......so I tried tip toeing around to post my business in other Categorys.  They alll were flagged & Deleted.

The Weird thing is :  I use to stay employed with Craigslist with Real Hourly Paying jobs....recruiting, appointment stting , Sales Marketing .etc.......but in the last month- all the Postings are for work from home "Businesses" and quick ways to earn a buck!!...........go figure.........they Delete & Flag mine, but 95% of what on there now are doing the same thing........most have the 3 didget orange simble at the end of there posting..................they paid Craigs Masters to Gaureentee a Spot.  they are breaking their own rules!!.....check it out for yourself!!

I always go under Customer Service/ administration & Office & also Marketing/ PR and All of them are the Same.....it use to Not be this way, they was The Best Site to Find a Job, I never had to look anywhere else!!

So.......if your looking to Advertise on Craigslist.............it may be very difficult, there is a good chance your Ad will be deleted and you will not know...............:P

Best of Luck,

I would be interested in learning how to market a product overseas.  Do you advertise on overseas type websites?

Craigslist is a very sneaky tool for advertising.

You'll need to know about the following things to be able to post even a small amount of ads:

- Ad Copy (100's of them)

-Email Accounts (100's of them)

-Ip Address Changes (Unlimited)

-Phone Verified Accounts (NEW, More than 25)

The key is to be anonymous as possible when you're posting ads.

Many of you have probably gone several directions with your marketing plan for your business.  Needless to reiterate all the different directions one may or may not chose due to empirical proof as to what works and what does not work.  I have been using craigslist.com as a means of getting my message out to an international audience. Most posts are free and there are hourly viewers looking for something on the site.  Truly, print ads are going down the tube and the classifieds with them.

I have seen several media guides and e-zines as well as downloadable tools to help with craigslist, but frankly, there is no better way to advertise and market on the website than simply researching the site and finding where the most people are looking for a specific thing.  The job boards are one place where many go to find something better or something at all.  We are in a shaky economy and I have noticed the job boards are filled with viewers daily.

That being stated, craigslist has rules about posting on the job boards and I am not certain that you can post a business opportunity, but "sales/biz development" does allow you to, if, you disclose and are not misrepresenting what you are offering.  Many of the people on the sales/biz development page are specifically seeking MLM type opportunities already.

I believe the less written or said is better...less is more.  So, customize your ad with a precise message and know your audience.

Good luck!

There is also a software package available that will help to automate running ads on CL, but it takes a dedicated server running 24/7 basically, but it will successfully place a ton of ads on CL that will not be deleted or flagged. I am researching this s/w and will repost when I have details of where to buy, etc. If anyone else already knows of this or used this software then by all means please feel free to share!
