The Top 5 Recommended Online Advertising Spots

OK...some folks may disagree with this list.  But then again I bet quite a few of you will agree too.  If you have a different spot you'd like to recommend.....feel free to share it as a reply comment.

Here we go:

1. http://www.craigslist.com.  Considered the most effective on line advertising service, if approached correctly.

2. http://www.Kaboo.org.   I haven't heard of this one. Anyway, it is supposed to be very similar to Craigslist but easier to navigate. They don't have the volume of users yet like Cragislist, but its believed they eventually will be a force to be reckoned with.

3. http://www.CityNews.com.   They have classified ad websites throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Also offered is photo classifieds as well as bargain statewide and national classifieds. It's recommended that people start with small local ads.

4. http://www.livedeal.com.  Here you can place free online classified ads for local buyers. You can list things such as furniture, laptops, cars, and more and avoid shipping costs and hassles.  It's free to list!

5. http://www.usnetads.com.  With this one, there is no sign up, no log on, and no email required to post classified ads online.  Plus, your ad goes online immediately. All absolutely free! You can post your product, service, or personal ad.

I'd suggest you try all of these resources. Certainly couldn't hurt.  Although I'd suggest focusing your advertising on product vice business opportunity.  More likely to get a higher response.  Plus loyal customers are easier to convert to loyal business builders.  They already believe in the product/service.

God Bless,
Michael

I've had good results from craigslist. The best way to use craiglist is to give away something free like an ebook or sample of product and send them to a lead capture page so you can follow up with your visitors.  I use Craigslist for lead generation and  for my lead capture pages I use MMG.

Ebay is another great way to market.  It's a bit more targeted than Craigslist and allows you to create multiple listings for as low as .10.

I've created a couple training videos on how to use Ebay as an effective way to generate leads for a business opportunity.  Its' simple, cheap and effective.

I hope that gives you some ideas!

I'd just add to what Michael said... If there's only one thing you do, you should be getting names and email address from your prospects. Just because they don't purchase from you the first time doesn't mean they won't eventually.

Once they opt-in to your list, feed them through the autoresponder funnel and let them get to know you by giving them free content. I know some of you will argue with this but it works! Take your best stuff and give it to them free. Show them that you're there to help and then hit them up for the sale :D.

So go research how to setup a squeeze page on the web..just google "squeeze page" and then start promoting that and get your list built up.

Once you have a list.....you can market to that non stop.

Cheers

The item I am marketing is energy. Does anyone have any idea what topic to put this under in craiglist so I do not get flagged and removed?

Hmmmm.....maybe try these:

*  For Sale - General

*  Services - Household

*  Community - Local News (post a press release type format rather than an ad)

*  Discussion Forums - Eco (don't post ads....just info...attract folks rather than market to them)

*  Services - Sm Biz Ads

These might work.  Unfortunately energy doesn't fit perfectly or obviously anywhere.  You may end up having to do trial and error.

Hope that helps a little.

God Bless,

Michael

Yeah, just to refinforce, Craiglist is great. However they seem to clean up ads pretty frequent nowadays...and you need to repost

just throwing in my two cents here

the goal of ANY web site is to get their email addres and permission to email them.

Im shocked how many sites till dont have a newsletter subcribe form!

Then they MUSt be put in a responder as most will buy after the 7th contact.

:)

I went to Craigs list and thier rules state they do not allow business opportunities or MLM. How do you get on Crigs list with such ads. Or is this why the ads are deleted after a short period?

Some people absolutely love craigs list because of the traffic they receive from this site, but I've been unable to get a listing approved yet? Some people posting very similar ads get their ads approved but not mine? I don't know whats going on?

I've tried to market on Craigs list with little results.  What are the strategies that people are using to get good traffic.  I get some traffic with a few leads but nothing too solid.

Any ideas.
