I know that most of you here reading this article have heard of or using branding
as part of your marketing methods to help build your business.
Most of us use videos as a way to attract potential business partners to our business.
This is supposed to differentiate us from everyone else, right? The biggest
problem I'm starting to see is, everyone is starting to look alike and
it seems like their saying the same things over and over again. People get
bored very easy, if they see one video they seen them all.
When marketers first started using videos, it was great people were able to
brand themselves and attract people to their business. Now the times are changing
the newnest of using videos to promote your business has become mundane.
We are curious by nature, when we drive by accidents we can't help but
take a quick look at whats going on. If we see something strange we stop and
take notice. So why not make people stop and take notice of your website.
This is what we want Right?
My solution is to take branding a step higher and add a little creativety to it and do
something crazy to attract attention to "You".
This is your business right? So why not? I would like to introduce to you
"Branding 2.0". Branding 2.0 is simply a video you create as a "Character"
that introduces you as the expert. It's simply a creative way to get people
to stop and take notice. People like to be amused and love to see something
different and making videos like this does the trick.
Happy Marketing and hope this helps in stirring up some creative juices.

I know for a fact adding video to anything will help you. I added a video to my opt-in page and it decreased my bounce rate and increased opt-ins overnight.
Frank Kern talks about emailing your list a link to your video that you posted on your blog that gives them useful info and than at the end informs them about visiting your sales page of whatever you may be promoting at the time.
Again I know for a fact this works and is definitely worth utilizing.
To Your Freedom And Success,
Joel

A successful video on YouTube was by Heineken with 'The Walking Fridge'. If you have the video from your own site or email it is ok you will get a targeted audience.
Getting targeted audience is the problem. The other factor is to make videos short and interesting, I have seen any number of long boring videos.
If you are able to post a winner on YouTube nothing like it.

Hi
I agree with others here that video is harder to work with. But I believe it has its place.
Keyword focused content is probably the best technique because if you find what people are searching for, then provide it, you will eventually have neverending streams of traffic.
However, video is superior in other ways. Example: many people don't like to read and would prefer video over the written word any day. Video probably captivates attention longer (provided people aren't repelled by the content.)
And video spreads virally much easier, I think.
It's just a different technique, with it's own unique set of factors.

| That's very, very reassuring! Online video is a massive channel and opportunity and up until now the vast majority of marketers have missed that opportunity. Personally, I think online video advertising will transform how advertisers view the branding potential of the internet and that 2009 will be its key growth year.

I would recommend sending a link in your email that links to your website with your video on it. You want them to come to you, and by having them follow the link to your website and view your video...you know they are semi interested.

I have seen and found that video was a hard thing to get into origanally. Many people do not like starting out on video because tey are afraid of the camera. But through practice, it can be very effective.
I have found that through video's, I have been able to convert at a much higher rate. IT's funny to think that by just adding a video to a landing page that page converted 10% higher. It was supprising but that is what happened.
So I now feel it is a must. But it is a new skill and it does take time.

Thanks for this thread and all the great info. Looks like I need to break out my video camera and get some vids on youtube. There are multiple millions of people surfing the web for content all the time. Seems wise to use all sources and get as much content out there as possible.

| Yes video marketing works. You just have to be consistent with it just like with articles or some of the other forms of marketing.

An essential item about video marketing that people don't think a lot about when posting their videos is the necessity to use your keywords in the title.
Just like with articles you need to use the keywords in your title to try and get the best search engine ranks. So simple yet many will miss this. They will focus on just the keyword tags. Nothing works better than having that main keyword in the title as close to the beginning as possible.

Video is a fantastic way to get the message across. A lot of people's perceptional receptor is audio visual, rather than reading. It is good to sit and watch and listen to something. It uses two core methods to get the message into the mind of the watcher.
Make the content short but to the point with great content and you can't go wrong.
God Bless,
Michael
