What I was trying to convey was.

Title and description are the important ones and you don't want to go crazy with keywords. The more content you have the better, but at the same time targeting key words in your title and description. The search engines are looking for content and run time.

It helps if you have a great topic/title and have what people need or like.

Do you mean using keywords in your actual script? And, where do you put your title and description? A video is spoken and filmed, how do you do a title and description? like I told you, I am very new to this whole video merketing thing.

You SEO your video when you upload and submit it to the video host like youtube. You should submit the video to other video hosting sites but change up the title, description, and keywords.

What I see people doing is putting in a 100 keywords when you want 20 or less.

From what I've seen video marketing does work very well, however you need to "Take The Time" to learn how to do it properly.

I've tried banging up a couple of quick video's with my URL along the bottom and they flopped, i.e. not many views...

But if you take the time to research keywords, embed them properly, learn the strategy for embedding your URL into the video description correctly.

Then blast that one video out to many video hubs, podcasting hubs and blogs, you can get a tonne of traffic.

I'm still in the middle of learning how to do all this the right way, but can see the potential in doing it... I'm learning about video marketing from a video submission service from a site called magic-video-marketing

I'll keep you posted on how it goes, or some of you might even decide to try this out and we can all swap notes on this.

What do you mean by embedding the url in the description correctly?

Not sure I follow that one. Thanks for the link and will read up on it. And yes, the more video sites you submit to the better.

Hi Geno,

What I mean here is I learnt a savvy way to get traffic from just the video description by adding your web address at the beginning of the description, instead of at the end.

So for example, where you put the description for your video and insert your information in the description field, you'll being by adding your URL right at the begining like this:

http://www.YourDomain.com - This video is about ra ra ra...

You get the idea, in YouTube and the others, the first thing a visitor see's is the URL, have a look at this example that I posted recently:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFuBodhtlR0

Now pay particular attention to the description to the right of the video how I've hyperlinked the video link at the beginning of the description, so you see my URL at the beginning... This way, if viewers don't want to look at my video, they may still click on that URL link and I still recieve traffic...

That's what I mean by embedding the URL into the description correctly, and was taught to me as a tip from the magic video marketing program in one of their videos.

Hope this clarifies things for you.

Hey Synergy,

Very good idea. That is for sure a good SEO tip because the SE's may not read the whole description if it's not SEOed properly.

Great idea on the double URL in the description.

But just dont think long format for your videos. Think a quick informative 30 second commercial to get people interested in you. Of course I mention it because thats what I do.  Easy, Inexpensive, Effective!

Video marketing has been working great for me, but it is just like any other form of marketing, it's all a numbers game, your success is going to depend on how many people actually see the video.

I use youtube.com and embed the video on any websites I use, but I also submit my videos to about 10 other top video sites.

One thing that I have learned is to model other marketers. I mean if you want to learn anything it is goood, it is great to have a mentor. But what if you dont know anybody. Guess what, with the internet you have access to so many qualified mentors and the price is your time and effort.

What I mean by this is that i can goto a video site and type in a few keywords. I can then see what videos are on the top of the charts and how many times they have been viewed. I then look at the ones that are getting all the views and model myself after them.

You may think that you need to be a master in this area to make things work for you and generate the traffic you desire but, if you were just to impiment this technique and learn something everyday soon people will be modeling thier videos after you.

Success is eminant...

It is a really great feeling when you try something new to improve your marketing and more people end up taking action as a result of it.

Usually 10... 30... 60% increases are about the norm when you're doing the standard type of testing.

If for every 100 people who come through your website you can even get just 1 more to buy or request information, that's definitely something to get excited about.

But what about...

A 223% increase?

To put it another way, that means conversions more than triple!

Now that's really cause to get excited!

Which is exactly what happened the other week to a friend of mine when they added a simple little video clip to the "thank you page" someone sees after opting in for their free ebook.

What I mean is that by adding a video clip to this "thank you" page, the amount of people who normally then go on to purchase their main offer more than tripled.

This is really powerful for a number of reasons.

For one, we're talking about a conversion rate where people actually pull out their wallets and BUY.

Conversion rates can apply to just about anything...... and when you're dealing with something like a free offer it's a little easier to see that much of an increase, as opposed to a direct purchase.

Also, there's the fact that that video wasn't even added to main offer Sales Letter where people were doing the purchasing.  It was added to a page on a totally separate site and yet it still had that much of an impact on the end result.

But I think what's really amazing about it is that the video added wasn't even meant to pre-sell people on the main offer in the slightest bit. There was no sales language whatsoever. There wasn't even any useful content or tips!

Videos have repeatedly proven to explode sales online, but my friend wasn't expecting much from this one. The only purpose of this video was to walk people through the email confirmation process they need to go through in order to get their free ebook. That's it!

Why such a big impact on conversions then?

I think a couple of the reasons are because most people prefer consuming information through video than they do by reading it, plus, we also learn better when we use multiple senses instead of just one.

But again, because the video wasn't sales or even educational in nature, I think the main reason it increased conversions is simply because of the personal element it adds.

This is becoming more and more of a factor online.

By hearing my friends voice - regardless of the message - it just makes it that much easier for people to believe that there's a real person behind it all.

It adds trust, credibility and believability to the offer. Which are all major issues on the internet - especially in our industry.

The original purpose of the video was to actually get more people to complete the double opt in process by walking them through it live. This would in turn mean more people reading the free ebook.....which would in turn mean more people visiting the main offer and buying.

But interestingly enough, it seemed that the version with the video that my friend was testing didn't increase the number of people who went through the double
opt in process at all..... because it resulted in almost the same amount of visitors to the main offer as the version without the video.

It's just that more of the visitors from the video version ended up buying!

By the way, a lot of people ask why use a double opt in process on an ebook. Why not just give them the ebook right away? Don't you lose a lot of people that way? The reason is because it results in a much higher quality prospect - because they have to take more steps to get the information - and the conversion rate is dramatically higher for people who double opt in versus people who get the ebook right away.  My friend tested it and sales were roughly 3-4 times higher using double opt in.   I know - I was surprised too. I didn't think it would make that much of a difference.

Needless to say, my friend is going to be doing a lot more testing in the near future with video...... and if you have your own site I would highly recommend trying it as well - if you haven't already.

The software that my friend used for the video in this case is called Camtasia and you can find out more about it at http://www.camtasia.com.

This is an incredibly versatile tool that my friend uses all the time for a lot of different things, not just marketing.   What it does is it records anything on your computer
screen, as well as your voice to go along with it.  For example, you can use it for training purposes with your downline if you want to show them how to use a certain website or sign up for a given program.  Just go through the process yourself while recording it and you're done.  You can pass that video on to a hundred people and never have to show anyone one-on-one again.  Great way to leverage your time.

Camtasia also works with webcams so you can record yourself and not just your voice.

This is an even more powerful way to add the personal element to your sales message.

Armond Morin also has a pretty decent product for adding streaming video to websites which is slightly cheaper than Camtasia. You can check it out here:

http://instantvideogenerator.com/

Or, if you don't want to go either of those routes, pretty much every version of Microsoft Windows comes bundled with Windows Movie Maker and if not, you can always download it for free on their website (iMovie if you have a Mac).

God Bless,
Michael

Hello member frds

No Doubt !!!

The Introduction of Short Videos in promoting websites do raise the chances to receive potential traffic. However, in most of the sites, the threshold time required to begin the videos escalates very long due to several reasons.Perhaps this welcomes significant challanges specially when the user is highly impatient.

Consequestly, such user switches or decides  to move on to some other sites in due course of the event.

I will highly appreciate if some1 could let us know which compression techniques should we use to subside such issues.....

The site that include several videos does faces such issues quite frequently.

I was investing one of the top producers in my company.
He uses mainly short videos and youtube.  He signed up
more than 50 new distributors each week. This appear
on the companies leaderboard.

These short videos do wonders, when they start pulling
in traffic. There are other video sites you can use. I started
using the short videos and traffic to my websites and new
signups have steadily increased.

Use window movie maker and free software online ( to record
your website screen or compensation plan if, that's what you
want your viewers to see. (Camstudio is a free software) you
can use. So use it to your advantage.

Goodluck with your marketing.

Hello Everyone!

I am really surprised to not see much mention of online video's at youtube and similar sites to promote websites, products and services.

I was planning on using online videos after seeing someone at youtube with over 8 million views & over 200,000 subscribers.  The link they promote, their website, has over 14,000 members in about one year.  I'm assuming from the videos.  They usually post at least one video a day!

Is it allowed to post a link to their videos?  It's not my website they promote.

Do any of you use video's?

If so, any success?

Thanks!

Nick

Hi,
Video is a fantastic way to get the message across, a lot of people's perceptional receptor is audio visual, rather than reading, it is good to sit and watch and listen to something, it uses two core methods to get the message into the mind of the watcher.

Make the content short but to the point with great content you can't go wrong

If anyone has used or tried both of these, I'm curious as to what Visual Communicator can do that Camtasia can't, if anything?

I know of a person or two who bring in a whole bunch of traffic submitting videos all over the web with their website link attached to it. From what I know video submission works just as well as article marketing.
