Hi!
Yes I completely agree! Being an 'old school' network marketing veteran, it didn't take me long to 'make the switch' to internet marketing as my main source of advertising in building my organization...
Spending tons of cash on traditional offline marketing techniques gets old real fast, and the incredible amount of leverage that you'll attain through simple internet marketing will revolutionize your business! (It has for me...)
But anyways, just my 2 cents. Good luck with your group, and here's to 'Inter-Network Marketing' !!

Hi michael,
yes, total sense. Lots of people have may different needs and wants and I find that they are searching for something online which will satisfy their confusion. I'd like to help serve to clarify that confusion so that these group of people will find the path to their own wants in life.
notice i mentioned want not need, Many people already have what they need in life like water, shelter and clothes..

Zulhairy,
You are right. You have learned a very important lesson. Building trust and name recognition is extremely important for long term success. To acheive this, you need to be consistent in communicating as well as in your manner of communicating. If you only want to sell, sell, sell, you blend right in to the masses. There are plenty "join now", "buy this now" offers online, and if you do this, you only blend in, you avoid building any sort of relationship with your prospects. Getting noticed is vital, so you need to stand out. Be gentle and quite passive with your prospects. Help them in one way or another, regardless of if they join your business venture, and you will likely be rewarded further on. Share interesting and valuable information and people will appreciate what you do and ultimately help in your success.

Alright, this one I agree - the one about "share valuable information and you will be rewarded". thats very important, I see lots of people nowadays try to do some lame spamming and get some short term rewards then what ?
I'd say a genuine content in anything that you provide to others really adds up to your credibility. This is a big step during you follow-up. Thats then you really get 'revealed'.
Cheers!

| I agree with andyE that you should establish yourself as an expert. Even though you might already be doing this in your newsletter, you might want to establish yourself on your landing page also. This will get you even more signups.

In other words soft-sell and most importantly get them to sell themselves on why they should join or buy.
I couldn't agree more.

| Hi freedom fire I'm not exactly new to internet marketing I have tried several affiliate programs in the past along with several other things.I have mainly stayed with the surf for hits sites to advertise but figured out long ago that I needed to build my own list but never been able to figure that part out. My biggest problem there is I don't know exactly how to build my own website oh and the other thing is not having the extra money to do it.I was on another forum about a week ago and met a guy that introduced me to the business I'm in now which introduced me to global domains international which is the most affordable website I have found to date which is 10 dollars a month now the only thing I have to do is figure out how to do it.On a different note I noticed you are from virginia too.I live in barren springs va which is between wytheville and pulaski.

Hi bjac72,
How long did it take you to figure out how to build your own list ? Anyway, just wanna pop you a nice juicy tip : go find others who have did this (ok, i'm no expert but I got this done already) and learn from them on how they did it.Of course, all with the coolness of either exchanging contacts with them initially and then start to build a reputation with them by doing some JV. They'll start to like you and in turn you will benefit from this relationship too.

Here's another tip to help with finding resources...both human and informational.
Go to http://Ryze.com and join (it's free)...then search for "internet marketing" or "website development" or other similar search phrases. What comes up will be a list of mini-communities (called networks on Ryze) where you can find information on how to build websites, promote websites, etc. You'll also be able to connect with folks willing to help you do it too.
Register for the netorks that make sense to you and then post questions, read others posts, and make friends. You can then PM (private message) as a member to people you "meet" who can help you with the stuff you don't know how to do.
These are all experts in every aspect of online marketing for ANY type of business.
Nice resource little used correctly....give it a try.
God Bless,
Michael

I've been a member of Ryze for awhile myself and was thrilled to find Michael there just a few weeks ago. Yes, Ryze is another excellent way of advertising and meeting other, like-minded network marketers and a great way of growing your personal network.
Check it out - it's an excellent resource.
Yours in greater success.

bjac72,
I've a few suggestions for you.
1. Set-up a blog (use Google's blogger it's free) and post to it regularly. Read through the info in our Blog Discussion Board here for ideas. This can serve as 1 of your "sites" for marketing, link strategy, and SEO purposes.
2. Learn SEO, PR, and SE listing and apply them.
3. Get a simple capture page and use it. My friend Carl Sorenson is a genius with these and can set you up with one specific for your company. Look him up here or at Ryze.com
4. Get a domain name for your company site and set it up to redirect to your company site. You pick whatever you want the domain name to be....so you can market an "affiliate" url without the ? etc. in it. Much better for the search engines.
5. Put a link to your main company site (using the redirect url) and blog in your capture page (for the search engine spiders not visitors really). Put a link to your main company site (using the redirect domain) and capture page in your blog....for the same reason. This gives you a triad of sites linked together for higher link poplualrity/strategy.
Now promote all 3 via forum sigs, ezine article author bio boxes, SE/directory submission, google adwords, ads where appropriate, etc.
But the big key is to post content/key word rich articles to your blog religiously (2-4/week) and ping the blog directories right after (use pingoat or pingomatic) . The SEs will spider your blog and list the individual article pages for the key words consistently and fairly high (usually). Of course every blog article page has the links to your lead capture page and redirect url to your company site.
The second key is consistently submiting original informative articles.....with your links in the author bio box......to article directories. They'll be picked up and published in ezines and as website content reaching 1,000's you wouldn't have reached yourself. This is called viral marketing.
Takes time, takes effort, but it works.
God Bless,
Michael

Hi Michael
Thanks for the info, very informative. I always read that it is important to start your own blog because it will help to build your business.
However, what do you put in a blog when you are new to Internet Marketing, or you have been doing it for some time and is still not making any money.
Take care
Jackie

Hi Jackie,
Here's a tip....a blog can be about anything. It doesn't HAVE to be all about your business, your product, the industry niche you're in (nutritional, telecom, self improvement, etc.), or even MLM at all. It can be about anything.
My friend Julieanne Van Zyl (Mod for the blog discussion board here) has a blog on Scuba Diving. It's her passion so she talks about it. She also has some links to her biz strategically placed in the blog. She "connects" with peoplel who share her passion for scuba diving. Some ask her "more" about her giving an opportunity to share her biz. Some of those join her biz with her or buy products. She has now attracted folks who share an interest in something she has a passion for (scuba diving) AND her business. Makes for great long term partners.
My friend Frank Morgan has a blog specificly focused on his company....Xooma. He shares tools, training, news, encouragement, experiences, etc. all about Xooma. It's for folks in his company but also attracts others who are curious. He connects with those unattached visitors...answers their questions, and some join Xooma with him. Again...attracts folks interested in his passion (Xooma) who also make great partners because they were highly targeted and asked HIM.
My buddies Dave Stone and Ty Tribble have blogs about network marketing/MLM in general. They share their insights, experiences, tips, etc. Folks visit for general knowledge and some ask them about their biz. Again...targeted to the curious about the industry as a whole who become attracted to Dave and Ty as people and THEN what they do for a biz. Some join them that aren't otherwise encumbered.
Me...I have 2 blogs. One is focused on MLM Resources....tips, ideas, news, tools, etc. Some folks get curious about what I do after being attacted to who I am. Some then buy a product/service (the majority) or join my business. Once again....targeted audience lookig for information who connect to me and my "stuff".
http://Best-MLM-Resources.blogspot.com
My other blog is all techie...news, tools, resources, editorials, etc. focused on the broadband world. Some folks get curious and ask for more about what I do opening the door for potential partners.....or just see a link to a service and buy (again the majority).
http://Broadband-Nation.blogspot.com
For both of mine I share my own experiences and knowledge...as well as info, insights, resources, etc. from friends and research on the 'Net (Google, friends recommendations, and Forums discussions are great for material).
Also....my primary focus for attraction is customers not new reps. So that is what I get the most of.....by design. I don't really need or want to recruit tons of new "reps" (again by design) so the ones I do accept are much more commited high potewntial performers who convinced ME (LOL).
So...just find an interest/passion of your own. Decide a strategy to find and share material on it. Then design your blog to that. Lots of ways you can go...with the above just some ideas to help you brainstorm.
God Bless,
Michael

Hi Micheal
Thanks for your response, I have a better idea now of how to think about creating a blog.
I always get the feeling that you should talking about the business you are involved in.
You did a wonderful job with your explanation. Thanks again.
Take care
Jackie

I like viral marketing. In fact, it is one of the main leverage you can use to actually get your website publicized as fast as possible to thousands. You do it once and then it does the rest of the job yourself.
It would be good that you do a steady research of the keyword you want to put focus on before you actually write something as we don't want to see good content posts or articles don't go to waste because of a lack of good keyword in itself.
Cheers!

Hi Michael , thanks.
We'll adhere to this rule with reverence.
The internet today is so powerful that you are able to reach millions across great distances. The one difference that makes someone successful from the other are based on three things :
1. Focus
2. Commitment
3. Consistency
I'd put that in my blog for other to view and hope that one of these days I can include my blog in my signature for others to enjoy.

Super info Freedomfire!!
That's some valuable information... I was totally ignorant about how to use a blog, but the way you tied it in with landing pages really got me thinking!
I'm going to read all that again and try to understand it more. I have a pretty good landing page as far as opt-in conversion, it's pretty staight forward, but the value I learned from your post is how a blog can actually help in the spidering and positioning in the engines.
Now I just have to figure out how to actually do it.
Has anyone tried giving away your own ebook as a form of viral marketing from your landing page?
A universal apeal ebook, such as Attraction Marketing on the Internet, or How to Really Generat Multiple Income Streams Online (all just examples)...
And using it to market virally through the net?
I've been thinking of writing an ebook like that to offer as a give-away or even on a forum sig file...
Comments, feedback...?

Hi FreedomFire,
Your obviously a seasoned member and poster to this forum and I must say that I'm very impressed by the helpful themes you bring to the forum.
I believe network marketing is more a people industry as much as it is providing products and services. It is a business of sharing and educating and by doing so it will attract the financial rewards we all strive for.
Kudo's on a job well done and I plan on visiting often.
