I ask this because I'm considering making a business change in my marketing methods. I've been very active with the methods and techniques promoted by GrowthPro but find that I'm just not getting "quality" leads. Very few, if any, become viable prospects.
I have them filtered through an 866# and they listen to a three minute overview. Twice as many people who listen to the full three minutes "don't" leave a message as do. I still call them back since I've captured their number.
I'm also considering having my own 888# so I can record my own three minute business message but won't have the contact collection abilities I have now with GrowthPro.
Yes, cost on a monthly basis is a primary consideration here as I have limited funds to invest on a monthly basis for my business.
Please share your observations, opinion, comments, and thoughts.

Try some local targeted small ads. I have run several local ads and have good success. I have a personal website that I send them to. When someone contacts me by signing up for my newsletter or requests additional information, they already know a great deal about me, my business and what I can bring as a partner.

Craig, you may have too much text on your pages. You could try a much simpler capture page. I keep mine real simple, the simpler the better. Click Here to see one of them. There's not a lot for someone to have to read through. They either opt in or they don't, but they don't have to muddle through a lot of text to decide if they want to, or not.
If you like the page, I use a service called Big Cash Creator, LLC. They are very good at what they do and they are really great guys and very helpful. I'm not an affiliate, so I won't benefit from sending you their way. They also sell very targeted traffic, which I have personally benefitted from. Check them out.
My philosophy is to not give my visitors any information about my actual business on that page, other than I am offering them a chance to learn about a good opportunity. I don't say what that opportunity is, until after they have opted in. This is not to be deceptive. It's simply the use of some basic psychology. If a capture page gives away too much information, they will have already decided what they think before they opt in and get to the meat of your opportunity, if they even opt in, at all. If they don't opt in you will never get the chance to sell them on your opportunity. You want to pique their interest just enough to get them to click for more information. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
You might also want to change the picture you use on your capture page. The casual mickey mouse sweathirt works great in here, this is a very casual atmosphere. You may want to consider something more along the lines of business casual, a button down shirt, a polo, or even a plain Tee (T-shirt, not underwear, LOL!) for a capture page. I'm not trying to be offensive, I like and respect you and have always benefitted from the things you share, in here. However, people who visit one of your capture pages, do not know you from adam, so a slightly more professional approach might be better. Ok, don't hit me, I'm just trying to help.

Hi Mitch,
Thank you for your insight and recommendations. I have gone back into the capture page and changed my pic. Temporary for now but more professional even though I have a beard.
I also went through and pared down some of the information and removed, which I hadn't caught before, the reference to the company. I want the visitor to get some insight into me as a person and that's why I'm keeping the rest of the text the way it is. I feel it is light, informative, and gives one some linkage to me with a good intro into the video.
I know we won't agree on everything Mitch but your post is taken with the intent that you provided in your advice.
Thank you.

Craig,
In my opinion you will get the same % of quality leads online as you will offline. However, with online, you have the ability to filter thru a much larger number of prospects, therefore increasing the potential quality people you find.
I don't find offline methods successful unless you really really are able to target your marketing and pinpoint it down to exactly who you are looking for. This can be difficult in offline marketing.
Placing a classified in the newspaper is not very targeted in my opinion.
My two cents anyway.

Kurt,
I do agree that you must target your niche if offline advertising is going to be successful. Creating great ad copy to target your prospects is key.

Offline leads can be worthwile and placing ads in the classifieds is one way to go about it. Make the ad headline good enough to draw the people and then direct them to visit your homepage / capture page to find out more. Don't give too much info on your ad... that's what your capture page is for. If you want to buy leads, you must be able to buy these leads and have them highly targeted for about .50 cents instead of 5 bucks each. I've used http://www.tlclists.com and http://www.usadata.com and been pleased with the results. You will also want to send your prospect to a presentation call (if you don't have one you can use your company presentation call..... but having your own call puts you in the leadership role -- remember that people join people not companies...). You can get a free conference line at http://www.thebasementventures.com or http://www.mrconference.com. Not sure what to say on your own presentation call? Take what your company provides and make it your own. Have another person in your downline on the call with you. Better yet, interview your upline. Make your call 30 minutes to 45 minutes long. If someone isn't willing to listen to a 45 minute phone call to see how they can become financially free they probably aren't serious about starting a home business anyway. That leads me to 1-800 numbers. Those are great and all that... but if someone that wants to join your team cannot pay for a long distance phone call to listen to a presentation then you have to ask yourself if you really want them on your team. I mean, if they cannot spend $8 or less for a long distance call then you have to ask yourself if can they afford the enrollment fee and monthly minimums (if any) for what your business provides? Just a thought.
- Get your lead.
- Send them to your capture page to get their email address for future followup or...
- Ask your lead some qualifying questions.
- Send them to a presentation call only if they qualify.
- Obtain feedback from them about the presentation call.
- Give them options on joining / not joining.
You must be able to be a problem solver for your prospect. If you cannot solve their problem then they'll move on to someone else that they feel CAN solve their problem.

You list of pertinent and productive actions to take on a daily basis sums up all one has to do on a persistent and consistent basis to be successful. Yes people, it's that simple.

Offline marketing is a great way of creating a buzz among potential referrals and if you’re able to do this, then you could on easy street. It is only going to become more important with the increased popularity of mobile technology. This kind of marketing is more costly. Longer campaigns are better for building trust and authority. This is marketing a company away from the Internet. Offline marketing is more pricey than online marketing, but if you were able to bond online and offline marketing together then you would really be well on your way.
Take care and GOD Bless!!

There are so many offline marketing techniques and the quality of the leads are normally very good the issue is many offline marketing ventures are expensive. so if you don't do it right its going to cost you a lot of time or and money
Here are a few:
- Mail outs
- Post cards
- Flyers on cars and hand outs
- Post boards
- Business cards
- Signs on streets and cross ways
- Fax letters
- Calling
- Hand outs at major functions
But this will cost you time and money so many set up a foundation for capturing leads online and let it run once you get it right leads keep coming and all you have to do is contact them
