Just wondering what everyone does to get people to talk to and what you say.

Here's what I've done:
- Placed fliers (1/2 sheet and full sheet) at the post office
- Signature files in email
- Posted on groups.
- Talk to friends, family and people at church

Any other ideas?

I ask for referrals.   I show the cards to everyone I see any place I go.   I set appointments and do demos.  If they don't sign up as or if they become a customer, I give good customer service. and ask for referrals.

Referrals from satisfied customers are the best.  Think of who you know, who do you buy your insurance from, who services your car, who to you do business with.  Just about everyone is a candidate for our product,  i really can't think of a bad lead for this product.

Yes, think of any business that you do business with. Send them a card letting them know how much you appreciate their business. They will think, "Wow, what an idea!" They should be the ones sending YOU the think you card, but this opens a door for you to show your product.

I was staying the last few days at a resort. Their were lots of familites vacationing. If you're like me, you always start talking to people at these resorts. As I'm taking pictures of the beatiful Hawaiian scenery, you can't help but to get people in the pictures. If it's someone, I've been talking to, I can show them the picture and tell them about this neat product I have. I don't try to sell them. I ask for their address and tell them I'll send this picture in a card. If it's a picture of their kids of family, they won't say no.

Don't try to sell them. Establish the relationship! Getting the address is the goal, not the interest. Once you get the address and start sending cards, then you approach the business side.

Another way to get people to see your opportunity is to get involved in forums, use funded proposals and affiliate links.

Something to consider , you can have everything you want in life if youwill just help enough other people get what they want.

If I'm talking to a "gatekeeper," that person is probably doing much of this grunt work so I may emphasize the labor and time-saving aspects of our service.

If I'm talking to the principal, I may just re-emphasize the cost-savings and the quality of the product and the benefits of product usage.

Then I send a fax brochure which I've made up that sends them to my marketing website (The Referral Movie). No one has said no yet.

Ultimately my message on the phone is simple: WATCH THE MOVIE.

NOTE: I'm finding that many of the national franchises have something in place which appears to be optional but is nevertheless in place. I would focus on your local market and on folks who are more independent because they won't have programs in place like we can offer.

You're much better off doing demos with those you know and branching out and meeting new ones, chambers, networking groups , lunches are all great places.  the product is in demand but you have to show it, so they get it

I spent the first 9 months talking to people about this system, didn't get many takers. I then started doing the gift accounts and people started signing up. It's all about giving away cards, all day  long. Give as many cards away as you want users of your products. It all comes back to you.

I have finally learned the lesson of not getting attached to anyone. Once I  have given the card I move on to the next one. I follow up to see how they like their card. Then close the deal. It seems to be working this way. I am attracting the right people to my business and they are finding me. I say it all day long, everyday.

Do the gift accounts they will come. It yet another movie.

You can talk all day to people and they TRULY will not understand this system. Show it to them and light will come on. Remember, it's a new concept.

Go back a few years and imagine the first time someone started talking about cars and air planes. That had to sound weird and look at us today. Sending a real card from a computer sounds weird, but look ahead to a few years. How much of the card real estate will you own?
